AMERICAS. Interest continues to build in the Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience, which takes place on 5-9 April, with over 700 delegates registered to date. Visitor registration (free to all travel retailers and airport companies) remains open at the official event website.
As reported, the all-digital Summit of the Americas is being organised by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) and Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report (which organised the successful Virtual Travel Retail Expo from 12-16 October).
To date, the event has attracted teams from over 65 retail and F&B companies and over 20 airports and airlines, plus trade association representatives.
The event is supported by more than 35 Gold, Silver and Bronze partners. Among the latest names to join the exhibitor line-up are Haleybrooke International, Seva Group and Al Tounbak. B+D has also joined as an event sponsor.

Views on the shape and rhythm of recovery in the Americas market will be a central focus of the sessions. Themes to be explored include the reshaping of the airport experience, changing consumer demand, digitalisation, the business model, alongside sessions that analyse travel prospects for the region and on the economic outlook. The event will also host the DFNI Americas Awards, as well as a Sustainability Session led by TRBusiness.
The Summit also includes an engaging and dynamic programme of Engagement Lounge sessions, platforms to launch, promote and educate through virtual masterclasses, tastings and demonstrations.
